BEST Teens & Adults: Growing Potential

Independence doesn’t start with a job. It starts with being seen. Heard. Empowered.

At BEST, we don’t measure progress by checklists. We measure it by confidence, capability, and choice. Our teen and adult programs are designed for real life, meeting individuals exactly where they are, and walking with them toward where they want to be.

Through individualized therapy, enrichment workshops, and supported employment, we don’t just teach life skills. We help build lives with meaning, direction, and dignity.

Because growing up isn’t the goal.

Growing into who you’re meant to be is.

Enrichment Groups

Skill Builders

The Skill Builders Enrichment Program is a small-group, occupational therapy-led initiative designed to support adolescents & young adults (13+ years of age) in building essential life and work-readiness skills. Each weekly session includes five peers and one licensed occupational therapist, fostering a supportive, engaging environment where participants can thrive. Groups focus on social skills, self-care skills, pre-vocational skills, and emotional regulation.

Social Circle

Social Circle is a supportive and engaging social skills group offered through BEST, designed for children, teens, and young adults with disabilities who benefit from guided opportunities to build meaningful peer relationships. Each session, led by an experienced facilitator, provides a structured yet fun environment where participants can practice essential social communication skills, such as initiating conversations, understanding social cues, managing emotions, working in a group, and resolving conflicts. The group promotes confidence, friendship, and inclusion while empowering individuals to navigate social situations with greater independence.

Leisure Opportunities

At BEST, we believe in the importance of community engagement, recreation, and social connection as key components of personal growth and independence. Our leisure and outing opportunities are designed to support individuals with disabilities in developing social skills, exploring new interests, and building confidence in real-world settings. Participants enjoy a wide variety of inclusive, community-based experiences tailored to their interests and needs. Outings may include: local park visits, bowling, arcade trips, visits to museums and the zoo, and dining out at restaurants to practice social and money management skills. All activities are supervised by trained staff who provide 1:1 or small group support, ensuring participants can fully engage while learning essential life and social skills in a fun, relaxed environment.

Occupational Therapy & Speech Therapy

BEST provides high-quality occupational and speech therapy services tailored to the unique needs of adults with developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities. Our licensed therapists work one-on-one to support individuals in building essential communication, daily living, and functional skills that promote greater independence and community inclusion. Our services are strength-based, client-centered, and integrated into real-life contexts, including home, school, and community environments.
