Independence doesn’t start with a job. It starts with being seen. Heard. Empowered.
At BEST, we don’t measure progress by checklists. We measure it by confidence, capability, and choice. Our teen and adult programs are designed for real life, meeting individuals exactly where they are, and walking with them toward where they want to be.
Through individualized therapy, enrichment workshops, and supported employment, we don’t just teach life skills. We help build lives with meaning, direction, and dignity.
Because growing up isn’t the goal.
Growing into who you’re meant to be is.
The Skill Builders Enrichment Program is a small-group, occupational therapy-led initiative designed to support adolescents & young adults (13+ years of age) in building essential life and work-readiness skills. Each weekly session includes five peers and one licensed occupational therapist, fostering a supportive, engaging environment where participants can thrive. Groups focus on social skills, self-care skills, pre-vocational skills, and emotional regulation.
Social Circle is a supportive and engaging social skills group offered through BEST, designed for children, teens, and young adults with disabilities who benefit from guided opportunities to build meaningful peer relationships. Each session, led by an experienced facilitator, provides a structured yet fun environment where participants can practice essential social communication skills, such as initiating conversations, understanding social cues, managing emotions, working in a group, and resolving conflicts. The group promotes confidence, friendship, and inclusion while empowering individuals to navigate social situations with greater independence.
BEST provides high-quality occupational and speech therapy services tailored to the unique needs of adults with developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities. Our licensed therapists work one-on-one to support individuals in building essential communication, daily living, and functional skills that promote greater independence and community inclusion. Our services are strength-based, client-centered, and integrated into real-life contexts, including home, school, and community environments.
BEST’s Supported Employment Program empowers individuals with disabilities by providing personalized job coaching, skills training, and on-the-job support. Through strong community partnerships, BEST helps participants find and maintain meaningful employment while fostering independence, confidence, and long-term success in the workplace.
