BEST provides scholarships to youth for therapeutic programs that support building pre-vocational skills. Programs may be within our BEST community or through partnering providers.
BEST partners with small to large businesses in the community for part-time and full-time supported employment opportunities. See our contact page if interested in this program as a partner or future BEST team member.
Isaac, BEST Advisory Board Member and team member, founded the BEST Autistic Advocacy group. BEST provides a platform for autistic adults to speak into our communities about a variety of topics as well as supports the group to achieve their goal to build a community of autistic leaders, colleagues, and friends.
Our programs offer 1:1 support for individuals of all abilities. We shape programming around our team members unique interests and goals.
We host multiple community events throughout the year including our annual Fall Fest and Donuts With Santa events. Our events all families of all backgrounds and abilities to attend purposeful and meaningful community events.
It is our goal to foster and encourage autonomy in our team members. It’s important for our team members to find their own purpose and voice in society.
BEST means a lot to me and I’ve learned problem solving and how to be a good listener while at work.
My son has been working with BEST for 2 years and it has been a wonderful program for him transitioning after high school. He has gained so much experience, confidence, teamwork, skills, and new experiences. He has been able to try different jobs and recognize his strengths and weaknesses and build his confidence. BEST staff have helped not only with employment and volunteer opportunities but also how to work through job situations and difficulties on the job. It is truly an amazing program!
B.E.S.T. has been wonderful for my son! They have given him the opportunity to work several different types of jobs–with a job coach to help along the way! B.E.S.T. has been understanding, patient, and kind ALWAYS! He has learned many skills through his jobs with B.E.S.T. It has also helped his confidence and independence. They are always encouraging him to grow and try new things. We think B.E.S.T. is the BEST!
